Can I speak about this resolution before we vote on it, although we already did, the one that Councilwoman Brown just brought up, the Bring Them Home resolution?
I'm voting in favor of this resolution because I think the people that are doing it are doing what in their mind they think is right, but I don't want it ever to be thought that I voted against the memory of anybody that has lost their lives over there. And I know the people here have their gold star of mothers. That's the most precious thing you could have, to lose your precious children. But on my arm, I wear a band of two people, one is Pat Tillman, who was a ranger who was an NFL football player, who everybody knew, died by friendly fire in Vietnam. That's a human life snuffed out. The other one is a fellow from the Civil Affairs squadron that Pat Dugan went away with, who was a Lieutenant Colonel that lost his life. We can hate this war, but we've got to honor the people that were there. To me, this is another way to honor them. But I'm not opposed to their memories. Okay? I just need that to be said for the record. So I will vote in favor of this resolution. Thank you for your consideration, Councilwoman Brown.

And a resolution authorizing the Committee on Labor and Civil Service to hold public hearings to investigate the prevalence and problem of mold and further investigate ways to set standards to help the citizens of the City of Philadelphia with mold and mold remediation.

The City of Philadelphia and the William Penn Foundation spent a total of $600,000 on a new strategic plan for the 9,100 acres of our park. Councilman Clarke and I have now taken up what some might call The Cross to make parts of that plan reality. So I would like to note that the bill and resolution we introduced today to amend the provisions of the Home Rule Charter concerning Fairmount Park Commission are intended to replace an earlier bill and resolution that we introduced this past June. I move that the earlier bill and resolution, Bill No. 050697 and Resolution No. 050721, be withdrawn. Thank you.

To the President and members of the Council of the City of Philadelphia, I am returning herewith as requested by your resolution adopted today, September 15, 2005, Bill No. 050362, entitled "An ordinance authorizing Brandywine Realty Trust, 401 Plymouth Road, Plymouth Meeting, to install, construct, own and maintain underground electrical service conduit, lighting bollards and other facilities on, under and along the north footway of Arch Street between 29th and 30th Street, under certain terms and conditions," for the purpose of reconsideration by the Council of the vote by which said bill passed Council.

I'd like She got married between the time I hired and she came on board. Melody Wright, who has taken the position of Cherelle Parker as my Public Relations Community Outreach Projects Director, and Melody is a graduate of Temple University, as is Danine.
